Writing Group Prompt

“Even in your despair, you are magnificent.”-Truth Bomb by Danielle LaPorte

I am finding the magnificence of my ability to cope in a prolonged season of despair. I find myself disconnected from my partner because of circumstances that are outside (mostly) of our control. I feel the weight of my daughter’s grief over her father’s death. And yet we lean into each other and can find laughter amid heartache and probate that feels like it will remain in perpetuity. (We know it won’t.)  What is magnificent is that I trust that now season lasts forever even when it feels like it. What is magnificent is my appetite for and ability to become my own best friend. This fills in the gaps on the days when I miss my partner the most.
